Pittsburgh Steelers 34 – 16 Atlanta Falcons
STEELERS — 2nd year WR Antonio Brown was the star of this game catching 4 catches for 137 yards and 2 TD’s. The TD’s were 77 and 44 yards long respectively while also returning the games opening kickoff back to the 50. Veteran Hines Ward had 3 catches for 29 yards. With Hines Ward in decline and Mike Wallace as the deep threat, Brown could emerge as a fantasy option this season.
QB Ben Roethlisberger as impressive, completing 11/16 passes for 214 yards and 2 TD’s.
RB Rashard Mendenhall only gained 8 yards on his 7 carries but did cash in a TD.

RB LaGarrette Blount only gained 10 yards on 5 carries but did catch 3 balls for 62 yards showing off his skill in the open field.
2nd year WR Mike Williams had 3 catches for 22 yards on the day as no one Buccs receiver was utilized that often.
DOLPHINS — QB Chad Henne looked good for the second game in a row (I know dolphins fans, we must be dreaming). Henne left the game after completing 10/13 passes for 175 yards and a TD. Perhaps Henne can become a viable fantasy starter on some weeks, he certainly has the weapons.
WR Brandon Marshall had 2 catches on the day taking the first one 60 yards for a TD. Watch the highlight, he pushes away a tackling Quincy Black like he is nothing; I wonder if Barrett Ruud would have been pushed aside so easily? Marshall did however fumble the second 30-yard catch after a great second effort from Buccs CB E.J. Biggers.
Once again Daniel Thomas was unable to muster much yardage on the ground finishing with 7 carries for 16 yards; but once again he showed pass catching ability adding a 19-yard reception. Reggie Bush was stuffed on a goal line carry and finished the day with negative yardage. 2nd year WR Marlon Moore had 2 catches for 41 yards.

The Lions Defence was in Tom Brady’s face the entire first half.

RB Ben-Jarvis Green Ellis had 8 carries for 18 yards while Danny Woodhead the fan favourite had 4 carries for 28 yards adding 21 yards in the air.

WR Andre Johnson was a common target for Schaub, grabbing 4 catches for 57 yards while TE Owen Daniels nabbed 6 balls for 57 yards and a TD.
RB Arian Foster was running the ball well before he left the game with a tweaked hamstring (time for some over reactions). Foster finished with 38 yards on 8 carries. Youngster Ben Tate recieved 11 carries, gaining 52 yards while Derrick Ward carried the ball 6 times for 13 yards and a TD.
49’ERS — I feel like I have written this for each 49’ers game: QB Alex Smith Struggled in this one. Smith left the game after going 2/6 for 17 yards and an INT. The Texans defence was all over him sacking him numerous times early. In relief QB Colin Kaepernick didn’t fair any better, going 6/16 for 52 yards and an INT. Both INT were by Texans DB Troy Nolan.
No 49’ers receiver had more than 1 reception.

WR Nate Washington is the only Titans WR of note from the game, he finished with 4 catches for 66 yards.

Denver Broncos 23 – 20 Seattle Seahawks
BRONCOS — Similiar to Jay Cutler in the previous write up, QB Kyle Orton threw and INT early but played quite well the rest of the game. Orton was faze by the INT as he would go on to complete 16/23 passes for 236 yards with a TD and an INT.
