Start ’em: Players I feel you may want to find room on your roster for or can make a great replacement for a bye week or injury.

Joseph Addai: With Peyton Manning out for week 1 an possibly more I expect RB Joseph Addai to be a big part of their offence. He is a smart veteran player who is very familiar with the colts playbook, they may look to him to help make up some of the slack being put on QB Kerry Collins. Addai is a very good pass catcher so he has good value in PPR leagues as well.

Mike Sims-Walker: The Rams open up the season against the daunted Eagles defence but I with a confident young QB and talented receiving core they will be able to move the ball better than most might expect. Sims-Walker is the new face for St louis WR’s but I believe his physical traits will make him a early red zone target for QB Sam Bradford. (The Eagles struggle against TE’s, Lance Kendricks is also a good option.)

Jason Campbell: I dont have a whole lot of faith in Jason Campbell over all as he still needs to have a breakout season. But with a week  matchup against Denver and a fast, young receiving team he has the potential to get that breakout started in week 1.

Santana Moss: Moss is crafty route runner with very consistent hands, I imagine starting QB Rex Grossman will look to him early and often in their week 1 contest.

Tim Hightower: Hightower has emerged as the #1 RB in the Washington backfield with a fantastic preseason. He looks to keep that momentum going into week 1 against the Giants. The Giants have a quality defence but Hightower’s renewed play and pass catching abilities should help him have a good game.

Sit ’em: Players I feel you may want to consider benching for the week and finding another option

Shonn Greene: I wont be suggesting starting this guy very often this season unless he shows me some quality running for a series of games. They Jets have a crowded backfield on paper while L.T. is a magnificent pass catcher and goal line runner.

Matt Stafford: Despite the huge breakout year this kid is primed for, his week 1 match up is rather unfavorable. Tampa Bay was one of the leagues best defences against the pass last year and has a bruising runner in LaGarrette Blount who can chew up clock. As much as I like Stafford and WR Nate Burleson to have big years, it may not start until week 2.

Austin Collie: Without Peyton Manning it will be hard for Austin Collie to be as involved in the offence as he has been in the past. I believe QB Collins will look for all-star WR and TE combo Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark while also utilizing RB Joseph Addai. Collie’s value likely wont see much of a bump until Manning is able to play again.

Dwayne Bowe: Playing against the Bills in week 1 it is likely the Chiefs will use a strong running game with Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones. Bowe has all the talent in the world but likely wont see enough targets in this contest as the Chiefs get Jamaal Charles ready for another huge year.

Knowshon Moreno: The main reason for Moreno’s inclusion is Willis McGahee. Ray Rice owners had to deal with the TD vulture that McGahee was and now it seems as though it is Moreno’s turn. I actually like McGahee better as a RB, unfortunately he cant leave his injury riddles past behind him. If one of these guys gets hurt, the other will see a massive boost in value.
