Deep Sleepers: Players to targets in deep leagues; often using trends, player and team matchups…etc.
Fred Davis: Even though Chris Cooley is the #1 TE for Washington the play a 2 TE set often and Fred Davis is a very capable pass catcher. He is likely to see targets all season while Cooley has been an injury risk.
Todd Heap: I doubt Todd Heap is going to be the TE is was in Baltimore, age and a new system are bound to have an effect on him. He is still a very good pass catcher who I believe will see more action that he did in week one.
Colt McCoy: Going into a Peyton Manning-less Indianapolis is a good opportunity to Colt McCoy to have a good week. Colt showed last year and again in preseason that he can lead the Browns to wins, he could finish this game with 2 or 3 TD’s. Don’t expect a huge boost in yardage.
Earnest Graham: Despite showing some hands in the preseason, RB LaGarrette Blount was not given pass caching duties often in week one. Earnest Graham was rewarded with several receptions giving him some value in deep PPR leagues.
Randall Cobb: Thier are so many talented recievers on this team its hard to have faith in playing another. However, QB Aaron Rodgers seems to have a knack for getting everyone on his team involved and is playing at an elite level already. Cobb also has return duties and looked explosive on his run backs in week one.
Dud Studs: Weekly starters whom you may not want to start due to matchup, injury…etc.
Matt Cassel: Cassel struggled in the preseason and continued that into game one. The Chiefs seem to be struggling already and I might sit Cassel until the Chiefs can get their run game going.
Chris Johnson: Struggled in week one and has to go against the baltimore defence. I expected the Titans have a rough of things this year and a week 2 matchup against Baltimore doesn’t bode well for the young star.
Maurice Jones-Drew: Its just plain hard to run against the Jets and the Jaguars club has been talking about using Deji Karim more in order to keep Jones-Drew healthy; Karim had 17 touches in week one.
Kenny Britt: I had considered putting Britt on my week one Dud Studs list, but thank god I decided not too as he had a great week. This week though I can’t leave him off. Despite his talent I don’t trust his QB much and expect Baltimore to double team every chance they can.
Mark Ingram: The Bears looked great in week one as Atlanta struggled. They will likely be fired up coming into this game against a Saints team without Marques Colston. The Running-Back-By-Committee being used also doesn’t help.

Question: Would you drop Percy Harvin? My bench is kind of full at the moment (Arian Foster, Steven Jackson, Reggie Wayne, Blount, Eli Manning, Harvin). I’m thinking of using his spot for various bye week fills.
Jeesus that is one stacked bench, 3 very solid RB’s. I would only drop him if you dont think he will be scooped up right away. A slow week 1 but a pretty good week 2 minues the fumble. Minnesota has been a little underrated going into this season so Harvin may be worth keeping.
Yeah, I’m only in a 10 team league, so all of our teams/ benches are pretty stacked. I decided to keep him for security in case anything happens to my starting WRs (Steve Smith and Calvin Johnson). I was going to be a jerk and pick up Fitzpatrick just for the sake of blocking off the other people in my league having QB issues (Fitz has been picked up since then however).
As for your future Sit ’em Start ’em Week 3 column: tell me if Steven Jackson will be good to go at my flex or if I should just start Blount!
i havent dont any real extensive research into week 3 yet as of right now, but off the top off my head I think I like Blount, Action Jackson just missed 2 full games pretty much.
Why would you sit Kenny Britt? He, and Mike Wallace, average 85+ yds/g and 1 td in five consecutive games. That’s consistency – you don’t bench consistency…
having britt on this list was definitely a mistake.
