Start em:

Cam Newton (CAR) – No brainer here. Back to back 400+ yard efforts in his first 2 NFL starts. Now he has the luxury of heading to Jacksonville, who boast one of the leagues worst secondaries.

Ben Tate (HOU) – Arian Foster not likely to play in week 3 after re aggravating his hamstring. Rookie Ben Tate who has had back to back 100 yard games in his first 2 NFL starts should again see a lot of touches and yards against a shaky saints run defence.

Owen Daniels (HOU) – Texans vs Saints in week 3 has the potential for a lot of fantasy output. IF the Texans want to keep up with Brees an company Matt Schaub is going to need to play well and spread the ball out to more than just Andre Johnson. I believe his skilled TE Owen Daniels will be looked to often.

AJ Green (CIN) – the 49’ers have been the worst in the NFL through 2 weeks at defending WR’s fantasy production. AJ Green has ridiculous talent but wasn’t given much a chance in his rookie year because no one thought a Bengal QB could get him the ball enough. Through 2 games Green has 11 receptions for 165 yards and 2 TD’s. Extreme talent meets a terrible secondary.

Danario Alexander (STL) – Had a big week 2 performance with a 3 catch 122 yard effort. Coach Spagnuolo has even admitted to the media this week that he plans on increasing Danario’s workload in the future, in particular the teams wee 3 matchup with the Ravens.

Tolbert / Mathews (SD) – The Chargers get the opportunity to bury the Chiefs another foot deeper this week as they meet up in San Diego. The way the chiefs have been playing and now without Jamaal Charles, it would not be out of line to think the Chargers can build a lead and run the ball the rest of the game with Mathews and Tolbert switching up the pace.

Sit em:

Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) – The Steelers play the Colts this week who are looking every bit as pathetic and people thought they would without Peyton Manning. Big Ben has the opportunity for a few early scores but its more likely that this game will be dominated by Rashard Mendenhall.

Pierre Garcon (IND) – I have Reggie Wayne in my deep sleepers list also. Indy WR’s without Manning vs the Steelers… No Thank You.

Steven Jackson / Carnell Williams (STL) – Steven Jackson might still miss week 3 with lingering injuries. Even Cadillac now has been missing practice and is not a lock to start week 3. Hard to run against Baltimore anyways.

Dwayne Bowe (KC) – No stranger to this list this year, he returns once again. I love Bowe and I want to see his excel, but with all the struggles the Chiefs are going  through, and a road game against division rival Chargers might be too much to overcome.

Davone Bess (MIA) – Davone Bess is one of the best route runners in the league and can create opportunities for himself in just about every game, but the Browns are very harsh when it comes to opposing WR’s. Miami will have much more success running the ball than they will throwing it.

  1. You know im always gunna come at ya about the saints haha little bias ill admit but 7th best against the run in the league so far this year, ya only two games in but i doubt tate will have much of a chance when theyre playin catch up to Brees and the boiiiiis, more liable to lean towards the Daniels, the rest of em look pretty good though good work koooopa

  2. In addition to Tolbert / Matthews, you may as well throw in Philip Rivers, Antonio Gates, Vincent Jackson, Malcolm Floyd, the Chargers Defense. You may want to bench the Chargers kicker, as he will only make PATs.

  3. You do know that Baltimore has given up the most WR receptions in the league and is third in WR fantasy points allowed? Or maybe you didn’t know that….

  4. I like this list better than all you’re other ones so far. And ya, tough match up for mr. Bowe :(. daaaamn third round pick lol. But I disagree with Big Ben. Who says a qb and rb can’t both boast huge weeks? Indy worrying about rashard should only help Roethlisberger. Indy is hopeless, much like KC, any formidable Steeler on offense is a good start, imo.

  5. Shouldnt Bowe be a “start” if SD is going to blow out KC, KC will be playin catchup and throwing alot? Bowe’s the best player on KC since Jamaal’s gone…i see Bowe having a good game (70+TD)

    • thats what i was kind of thinking until i saw how many yard SD has allowed him in recent matchups. in 7 games he has averaged 51 yards.
KC has only scored 10 points as a team, not much fantasy value there.
