Kansas City Chiefs -3.0 @ Tennessee Titans
With Jake Locker of the Titans out for a few weeks and replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick, I really like the Chiefs chances of staying undefeated. Fitzpatrick at times can be efficient and score some points for his team, but he is just as likely to throw multiple interceptions and bury his team. The Chiefs have some extremely talented defensive players in the league with Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson and Justin Houston who will all make life tough on Fitzpatrick and the Titans. I think the Chiefs win comfortably. Chiefs -3.0.
New Orleans Saints -1.5 @ Chicago Bears
The Saints are looking like one of the best teams in football through the first four week of football and will have a very tough test playing the Bears on the road for week five. With a 2-point spread the game is pretty much a pickem, and I really think I like the Saints to win this one on the road and remain undefeated. The offence is playing as good as ever, with the main difference from this season and last being the massive improvement on defence. I usually wouldn’t like betting against the Bears at home, but I can’t help but see the Saints as the better team, less likely to turn the ball over and with the better quarterback. Saints -1.5.
Denver Broncos -8.5 @ Dallas Cowboys
Until I see the Broncos give me a reason not to bet on them to cover the large spreads they are getting, I am going to keep on doing it. They easily covered 12 points against the Eagles last week and I feel confident Peyton and his crew will beat the Cowboys by at least 10 points. The Cowboys can be a very talented team but have trouble playing up to potential week to week where as the Broncos have looked unstoppable from day one. Broncos -8.5.
San Diego Chargers -4.5 @ Oakland Raiders
The Chargers continue to look like one of the better teams in football thus far, with a come from behind win over the Cowboys in week four. Philip Rivers is throwing the ball with a 73% success rate, often using the likes Danny Woodhead in place of a running game. The Raiders have been a tougher out than most people expected this year, especially with Terrelle Pryor behind centre, but they are not as good as the Chargers, and I trust Rivers over Pryor at this point. Chargers -4.5.
New York Jets @ Atlanta Falcons -10.5
The Falcons may not be as dominant this year as they have been in the past few seasons, but they are still better than their 1-3 record shows. After a pair of disappointing losses to the Dolphins and Patriots the Falcons should be pretty pissed off for this coming matchup against the Jets on Monday night under the lights. Roddy White looked healthier in week 4, which bodes well for him going forward. I really think the Falcons come out firing against the Jets and win by a pair of touchdowns. Falcons -10.5.
