Tampa Bay Buccaneers +7.5 @ Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons lost Julio Jones for the season and it has now been announced that after being hobble so far this season with leg injuries, Roddy White will also be inactive. Going from Roddy and Julio to Harry Douglas is a massive downgrade for Matt Ryan and will make things much tougher for the Falcons to move the ball against the Bucs. The Falcons have a weak running game while the Bucs have a good run defence and Darrelle Revis and the Bucs secondary will be delighted to hear that Jones and White wont be playing. Things are going from bad to worse for the Falcons. Falcons win, Bucs cover. Buccaneers +7.5.

New England Patriots -3.5 @ New York Jets

The Patriots struggled against the Jets when these two teams played in New England in a week two match up, earning a three point win. Despite only winning at home by three, I have a feeling the Patriots get the win again in New York, and by one extra point. Last season the Patriots defeated the Jets by 3 points in the first matchup before destroying them 49-19 in the second match up. While it does not happen every time, Brady tends to beat up on the Jets, (and divisional opponents for that matter the second time around. Despite all the injuries they have suffered I think the Patriots win by a touchdown. Patriots -3.5.

San Diego Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars +8.5

The Chargers are on slightly shorter rest having played on Monday night, and while they should beat the Jaguars are everyone else has, I don’t think they cover a 9-point spread on the road. The Jaguars are easily the worst team in the league, but they are bound to win a game sometime and for some reason I feel like this one has a chance. Provided that they don’t turn the ball over too many times, I think the Jaguars play another tough game against the Chargers and keep it within a touchdown at home. Chargers win, Jags cover. Jaguars +8.5.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Detroit Lions -2.5

The Lions have covered both games at home this season while the Bengals are yet to cover on the road. This is also the second straight road game for the Bengals. I don’t know if I would have the Lions as one of my favourite picks, but only needing a field goal to cover at home, I like their odds remaining perfect at home. Lions -2.5.

Cleveland Browns @ Green Bay Packers -10.0

The Packers play extremely well at home and have even been very good at covering the spread when playing at home, doing so about 60% of the times in their last 50 home games. The Browns have been a surprise team the last few weeks with a string on wins before losing by 14 at home to the Lions. Things are going to be even tougher this weekend going into Lambaugh stadium to play Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Even with Cobb and Jones out I like Rodgers chances of leading his team to a double-digit over Weedon and the Browns. I see the Browns turning the ball over more than once, helping the Packers cover the big 10-point spread. Packers -10.0.
