Kansas City Chiefs -3.5 @ Buffalo Bills
This one seems a little to easy and makes me think it is a trap game from Vegas, but I just can’t see a Jeff Tuel or Matt Flynn led team stay close with Chiefs, even if they are playing at home. The Chiefs defence is stellar and could keep the Bills offence around 10-17 points while scoring 21+ themselves; at least that’s how I see it playing. Chiefs -3.5.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Oakland Raiders -2.5
The Raiders are a surprisingly tough team to beat this year and have played very well at home thus far. The Eagles on the other hand have looked awful since losing Michael Vick after week two. I envision Foles struggling to maintain drives against a pretty good Oakland defence and think Terrelle Pryor will have an excellent game, leading the Raiders to at least a 3-point win. Raiders -2.5.
Baltimore Ravens -2.5 @ Cleveland Browns
The Ravens and Browns played in week two this season with the Ravens earning a 14-6 win in a hard fought game in Baltimore. With the game heading to Cleveland this time you might think that the Browns would be able to make it an even close game and cover the 3-point spread. I don’t see it that way however, I still think the Ravens beat the Browns by about a touchdown. Ray Rice who has struggled this year has admitted to playing banged up but is feeling 100% following the bye. I also don’t trust Jason Campbell to duplicate last week’s performance against the Ravens defence. Ravens -2.5.
New Orleans Saints @ New York Jets +6.5
A couple reasons why I don’t think the Saints cover a full touchdown against the Jets. The Saints don’t tend to play as well outdoors and on the road, both of which they are going to be doing. The Saints are travelling to the east coast and into some likely nasty weather. The Jets are coming off a stomping at the hands of the Bengals that they are going to want to get revenge on someone for. Jets +6.5.
Atlanta Falcons +7.5 @ Carolina Panthers
The Falcons looked pretty rough last weekend on the road against the Cardinals and will face a similar task this coming Sunday when they visit the Carolina Panthers, a surging team with a solid defence. I however don’t think the Falcons lose back-to-back games in the fashion they lose to the Cardinals last week. These teams are also division rivals that know each other quite well. I think the Panthers win, but not by eight points. Falcons +7.5.
